Freelance People Operations Specialist

We are looking for a **Freelance People Operations Specialist** to join Blacklane's People Experience team. You will use your creativity and experience combined with our tools and processes to help achieve an outstanding employee experience.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- **You're the first point of contact **on different employee life-cycle topics and will **own and support your colleagues with all admin related tasks** including references, visas, contracts, addendums, payroll related forms and much more
- **Enrich our employee experience** by coordinating moments that matter in the employee lifecycle such as our company onboarding days, rewarding our crew with various benefits, shaping company themed events ensuring our cultural values are reflected
- **Manage our HR systems and Organize and support payroll for Germany and our international hubs **You will support in the process to complete (bi)-monthly payroll for our hubs, by partnering with our external payroll providers and local authorities, to ensure it's smooth operational running
- **Break new ground and stand out from the crowd **by looking for ways to improve and automate our people processes.

**ABOUT YOU***:

- **Strong background in People Operations. **You have multiple years of experience in People Operations as HR Operations, HR Specialist,HR Coordinator, Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, primarily in international work environments.
- **Employment law expert. **You have a solid understanding of German labor law and ideally some exposure to international employment law (preferably Australian, American and / or Spanish)
- **Taking ownership. **You're thorough with your tasks, have a high attention to detail, as well as an independent, structured, and precise way of working
- **Great communication skills. **You are comfortable interacting with team members at all levels, carrying courageous conversations and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You speak **fluent** German (C1 level plus) & English
- **You care **about yourself, others and your team by seeking out new ways to enhance our crew's experience
- You have **experience** with HR systems such as Bamboo HR, Jira, any other systems including payroll such as Xero, Datev is welcomed
- You have a **solution oriented** mindset by proposing solutions in the face of ambiguity
