**Your role**
- Are you independent and self-driven professional who has sharp analytical skills and a flair for technology? Do you have know-how in financial accounting within Banking? We are looking for someone like that to help us:
- identify and resolve data quality issues
- address the concerns of the downstream / upstream stakeholders
- communicate information effectively in a way that the system owners can understand and do respective amendments accordingly
- perform daily run the bank activities while at the same time participate in internal projects
- ensure complete, accurate and auditable accounting and month-end-closing (HGB and IFRS)
- provide monthly analytical reviews across the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement
- support on ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders
- perform systematical analysis of products to ensure that they are recorded correctly in the bank's accounts and reported accurately (HGB and IFRS)
- keep up to date with legal, regulatory and procedural changes
**Your team**
- You'll be working in the Financial Reporting team in Frankfurt. We are a Finance function covering Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Treasury and Asset Management business for UBS Europe SE.
**Your expertise**
- a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analyst/data maintenance/data analysis and/or an apprenticeship in banking
- a degree in accounting/finance or certified accountant
- a profound knowledge of HGB and IFRS
- technical experience in creating SQL queries, report design with SAP Business Objects, Power BI or process automation with Alteryx would be an asset
- intellectual curiosity, very strong analytical skills, problem solving and critical reasoning
- methodical, concise and accurate, with a strong attention to detail
- self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a challenging environment
- eager to proactively challenge and improve processes
- fluent in German and English
