**Job Purpose**:
This role is responsible for providing management with the review of financial performance, especially drivers, trends and the competitive environment to enhance business strategic positioning and provide adequate reading of results to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Board and Regulators for CGME). It is also a critical role to provide insightful analysis as to the foundation for strategic decision-making, resource allocation and performance management tools to support thoughtful planning and target setting, as well as to drive Business initiatives responsible for providing management with the review of financial performance, especially drivers, trends and the competitive environment to enhance business strategic positioning and provide adequate reading of results to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Board and Regulators for CGME). It is also a critical role to provide insightful analysis as to the foundation for strategic decision-making, resource allocation and performance management tools to support thoughtful planning and target setting, as well as to drive Business initiatives

**Job Background/Context**:
Europe FP&A covers all aspects of the Citi franchise including: Products, Geographies, Clients, Functions, O&T and Legal entities and it is an integral part of EMEA Finance Team.
The key stakeholders are CGME management team, CGME Board of Directors and CGME CFO, as well as the Europe FP&A Lead.
The role works in close partnership with other FP&A Teams, the Mumbai Team and country CFOs to meet the FP&A deliverables
This is a challenging role which requires maintenance and further development of efficient operating practice and networks.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Partnership with the Europe FP&A Teams and Country CFOs to deliver FP&A activities to the Europe countries and the CGME branches including Planning for P&L and BS and analyses thereon, headcount, returns and client analysis.
Drive strategic exercises for Europe into CGME working closely with Business including ad-hoc analyses and reporting, including coordination and support for European legal entities strategic plans. This will involve engagement with Senior Management and Board.
Active participation in and leadership in the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process for CGME which involves interaction with CGME Risk and Controllers
Markets Assessment - competitive benchmarking, macroeconomic environment assessment, market share analyses and wallet sizing
Productivity - work in partnership across Finance and with the Businesses to understand and improve efficiency and returns by branch and by business, particularly Operating Efficiency, RoA and RoTCE/ RoE. Partner with Finance and Business to drive action and execution
Support Senior Management - Be a trusted advisor to Senior Management. Coordinate and prepare presentation materials and talking points for internal or external meetings, including with Rating Agencies. Maintain contacts in coordination with the Rating Agencies interface team for Citigroup.
Performance Measurement and Reporting - proactively analyse, investigate escalate and explain key movements and trends to Senior Management and stakeholders
Excellent understanding of the Businesses and drivers of activity in the Europe Cluster

**Qualifications**:
10+ years of relevant experience

Experience within financial services

Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets

Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge in additional systems including Oracle, Essbase, and SAP

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
