**Job Purpose/ Role**
Allianz Re is a division of Allianz SE within the H9 resort and is based in Munich, Singapore, Dublin, Petaluma, Bermuda and Zurich. Allianz Re mainly offers reinsurance protection, resolution management, and services for internal and external customers.
Within the Advisory & Services area (A&S), Allianz Re runs the Solutions & ESG team for development and implementation of (new) services as well business opportunities connected to reinsurance, CAT risk management and inhouse insurance management. An open office environment, non-bureaucratic behavior, and low hierarchies are setting the framework for a high-performing team, which strives for excellence and allows mistakes in parallel. “Leadership” will not be a phrase - and based on mutual trust and an open and honest two-way-communication with regular feedback all team members will be able to unfold their capabilities.
The implementation of projects in connection with service offerings is key, meaning the transformation of CAT risk management / inhouse insurance into business value for Allianz Group with additional focus on collaborations inside and outside of Allianz Group.
The position is permanent, after two to three years a career and development step optionally follows in the area of AZ Re core business activities.
**Key responsibilities**
- Evaluate service/ business ideas, define and develop overall business concepts for a multi-national business.
- approach (together with Allianz OEs and Allianz Re experts who act as customers and responsible business line-functions after implementation), arrange and combine requirements with solution pieces from within AZ Re as well as from collaborations (e.g. from CAT risk or physical risk vendors) with specific customer needs.
- Align with Group stakeholders and identify cooperation partners within the AZ Group and also externals for common activities and definition of interfaces. Engage with strategic partners and Insuretechs to identify successful business models and transfer them to Allianz Group.
- Output focus: all service/ business initiatives along (decisive) cost benefit approach for AZ Group (incl. benefit tracking).
**Qualification**
- University degree, preferably at Master level majors: preference for economics, mathematics, natural science, but not limited to those. And / or equivalent job experience in the insurance industry.
- Business-minded with excellent analytical and conceptual abilities.
- Customer-focused, proactive, reliable, flexible and energetic team player.
- Fluent English (written and spoken). Additional core market language skills (I, E, F) would be beneficial.
**Experience & Key skills**
- Practical knowledge in insurance business with a minimum of 3-5 years within at least 2 different functions; a proven track record in service/ business development (focus: insurance/financial industry).
- Proven project management skills.
- Agile work-style, high level of client orientation and strong collaboration skills, the ability to work both independently in own area of expertise and cross-functional as part of a team.
- Absolute “can do” attitude, high degree of motivation and entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to work in a start-up environment, remote setting, readiness to travel.
- Financial and business acumen, financial planning and controlling skills. Distinctive execution capabilities go along with conceptual and analytical thinking.
