Our client is a leading software and hardware provider on the emerging Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2X) communication market, with a mission to increase traffic safety and efficiency on the road.
As an Automotive Business Development Director of the team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the expansion of the local presence and join our client in the organization and process development.
**Responsibilities:
**Building and maintaining presence in Germany and German speaking countries - Austria, Switzerland**- Presence through local companyManaging Field Application Engineer resources in the region (long-term)Serve as a first point of contact to our customers in the Automotive IndustryContracts negotiation together with the Key Account Managers (contents review, customer negotiations)Develop and execute country sales strategyWin OEM and Tier-1 supplier contracts, primarily focusing on automotive mass production programs
**Business development - Tier-1**- Identify all major Tier-1/Tier-2 customers and propose strategy to open doors and build up the relationship for series production projects (incl smart antenna providers, ADAS/infotainment/autonomous systems developers)Engaging with Tier1s (Product Development, Purchasing, R&D) to promote software offering
**Business development - Deployment projects / Government**- Targeting infrastructure development companiesMaintaining good relationship with standardization groups, pilot sites and pilot project membersIdentifying the appropriate partners and proposing business models to be present on the market - Following V2X/Car2X related government activities, public tenders and managing the clients bidding process
**Qualifications**:
***- Previous experience in the Automotive industry and/or in the IT/Telecommunications industryFluent in business & technical German and EnglishSolid understanding of business development activities at large corporate customers, involving complex SW / technology projects / IT or Telco infrastructure deployment projectsUnderstanding / overview of IT software development and project management conceptsHands on experience in managing complex bidding processes and writing proposals to provide complex solutions for SW licensing + servicesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, excellent stakeholder management skillsWillingness to travel within Germany and the EU
