The Vodafone Tech Innovation Center Dresden is Vodafone’s new global center for innovation and co-creation with other top tech world-wide companies, universities and research institutes. The scope of this new hub is to improve peoples' lives by innovating communications and empower businesses for a digital and sustainable future. **Role purpose**:
Within the world of Mobile Communication, technology is a key enabler. A consistent part of Vodafone success is based on the implementation and delivery of advanced and innovative services to its customers. Within Vodafone Group Technology, Infotainment has the responsibility to design, develop, deploy and operate strategic consumer services. We are building a new global Device Lifecycle platform and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Lead to join our new team.

**The core responsibilities of this role are**:

- Application Design in line with industry best practices (Cloud Native, Serverless, Micro Service, etc)
- Lead development within a scrum team
- Lead and Manage the Development Chapter spanning multiple scrum teams
- Define framework / technologies / languages to be used
- **Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Leadership of development within a scrum team
- Leadership of Development Chapter
- Application solution design (components, deployment, etc)
- Framework / Technology / Language / Platform selection
- Works closely with, and build consensus within DevOps team
**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Knowledge of web-based (Java) and service-based architectures (REST), cloud-oriented architectures (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and micro-services patterns
- Knowledge of cross-platform architecture, technology and platforms (e.g. Web / Android / iOS / React etc.)
- Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills
- Senior Developer experience with some team leadership
- Our team works in SAFe (Scaled Agile) with modern DevOps CI/CD
**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- Computer science or similar
- Full stack Java development experience
- Hands-on experience with large cloud-based multinational websites
- Fluent in English (written & oral)
