Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer - Automation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Amazon Logistik Werne GmbH - D12. The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, error resolution, and improving control solutions for automated material handling equipment, such as conveyors, sorting systems, scanners, cameras, and more. Additionally, the Sr. AE will provide training to Engineering Technicians on device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as an expert on all control systems and sensors within the facility.
  • Collaborate with EU Controls network to enhance monitoring of MHE metrics.
  • Participate in or lead projects for continuous improvement of the EU Controls network.
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all systems in collaboration with IT and Engineering teams.
  • Assist with global teams on installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Support other locations within the European network as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience with PLC-based automation in a continuous processing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in the fields of Automation, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with troubleshooting various conveyor or sorting systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and machine directives.
  • Experience in multi-site environments and project management.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and process improvement techniques.
