Job Overview:

Amazon Logistik Werne GmbH is seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment at our facilities. Your main tasks will include performing preventive maintenance, conducting repairs and diagnostics, maximizing equipment effectiveness, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting the development of apprentices on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance on a wide range of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Conducting thorough repairs and diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Maximizing equipment effectiveness by utilizing the latest tools and technologies
  • Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Supporting the development of apprentices by providing guidance and training
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements

A Day in the Life:

As a Maintenance and Repair Specialist, you will be on-site at one of our logistics centers, responding quickly to technical issues, carrying out planned maintenance tasks, and responding promptly to breakdowns. You will work in rotating shifts to support our sites around the clock, ensuring Amazon can continue to deliver at its renowned pace.

About the Team:

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team is a group of skilled technicians and engineers who work together to maintain and repair equipment across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. We focus on reducing downtime at key Amazon sites to ensure timely order fulfillment. The team is led by experienced professionals and offers numerous opportunities for career advancement within Amazon.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed technical apprenticeship recognized by the industry chamber
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the relevant field
  • Experience in maintaining industrial production equipment
  • Advanced written and spoken German skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with condition monitoring
  • Knowledge of operating and application machinery
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
