Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH team. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Wellbeing: Create and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing within your team, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Quality and Productivity: Analyze and implement changes to maintain high-quality and productivity levels, driving continuous improvement across the network.
- Process Improvement: Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance the quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
- Operational Excellence: Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive consistency across the network.
As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.
Your typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You will also serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.
About the TeamAmazon Extra Large (AMXL) is responsible for managing the entire service for heavy items, including furniture and large home appliances. Our team focuses on delivering exceptional customer care, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns.

Requirements- A degree
- Relevant experience in people management
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in local language and English
