International Collections Specialist EMEA

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing specific finance functions related to the collections of delinquent receivables for a portfolio of accounts in the EMEA region, ensuring the company's cash flow is maintained. The successful candidate will be required to converse and communicate in English as a minimum, with German also being a requirement.

The individual will work closely with franchisees and Field Operations, as well as internal departments, to ensure that franchisees' and hotels' financial obligations to the company are met in a satisfactory manner. Key responsibilities include collection and missing withholding tax receipt calls, resolving past due accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, reviewing financial statements, and fielding incoming calls.

The individual will also be required to complete daily identification and application of payments and special projects. They will require an understanding of withholding tax implications and be able to identify and resolve financial issues, communicating such issues to Senior Finance management on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage collections of delinquent receivables for a portfolio of accounts in the EMEA region
  • Converse and communicate in English and German
  • Work closely with franchisees and Field Operations, as well as internal departments
  • Resolve past due accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and review financial statements
  • Field incoming calls and complete daily identification and application of payments and special projects
  • Understand withholding tax implications and identify and resolve financial issues
Requirements
  • Must speak and write English and German
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Motivated, detail-oriented person who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
