Night Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Night Operations Manager to support the execution of general ledger impacted processes during the night. This role will involve working closely with clients to understand and support these processes, as well as performing auditing and accounting functions in areas such as account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
• A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major is required, with no prior work experience necessary.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Finance and Accounting or a related major, combined with 1 year of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area, is also acceptable.
Core Work Activities
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
• The successful candidate will coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• They will also coordinate, implement, and follow up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property, ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws.
• The Night Operations Manager will generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, and other materials.
• They will analyze information, evaluate results, and choose the best solution to solve problems, while also compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
• The role involves balancing credit card ledgers, verifying contracts for groups, and performing credit reference checks for direct billed groups if necessary.
• The Night Operations Manager will ensure that audits are completed correctly and on time, in line with auditing procedures, and post all transactions on a regular basis to keep bills up-to-date.
Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
• The successful candidate will achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, and other objectives.
• They will develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish their work, submitting reports in a timely manner to ensure delivery deadlines.
• The Night Operations Manager will ensure profits and losses are documented accurately, monitor all applicable taxes, and maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
• They will complete period-end functions each period and provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures.
Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge
• The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes, as well as knowledge of return check procedures, the Gross Revenue Report, and write-off procedures.
• They will also demonstrate knowledge and proficiency with consolidated deposit procedures and keep up-to-date technically, applying new knowledge to their job.
• The Night Operations Manager will use computers and computer systems to program, develop financial spreadsheets, set up functions, enter data, or process information, and use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Additional Responsibilities
• The successful candidate will provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, email, or in person, demonstrating personal integrity, effective listening skills, self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
• They will manage group or interpersonal conflict effectively, inform and/or update executives and peers on relevant information in a timely manner, manage time well, and possess strong organizational skills.
• The Night Operations Manager will present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise and well-organized way, using problem-solving methodology for decision making and follow-up, and make collections calls if necessary.
