Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer Subsurface Procurement to join our team at Wintershall Dea. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the smooth execution of procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for subsurface categories, including rig services, decommissioning services, and OCTG.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Execute and manage contracts, ensure contract performance, and handle disputes and claims.
  • Coordinate with project teams to establish project procurement strategies and manage non-conformities.
  • Communicate procurement strategies within the Business Unit Germany and ensure a clear and frequent presence of Procurement within operations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study (economics, engineering, legal) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a strategic buyer position (procurement/supply chain) or alternative profound sourcing and contract management experience.
  • Proactive team player with solution-oriented, self-motivated, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and systematic way of working, with extensive knowledge of the Subsurface markets and categories.
  • Fluent in English and German (oral and written), with a high willingness to travel.
