Supplier Quality Engineer-Electronics Specialist

Hilite International is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer-Electronics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our electronics supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Selection and Qualification: Evaluate and select suppliers based on their capabilities, quality management systems, and ability to meet our company's quality requirements.
- Lieferant Management: Manage supplier relationships during project phases and serial production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Process Enablement: Enable suppliers to manufacture required components to the correct quality standards.
- Process Audits: Conduct process audits at supplier facilities to ensure compliance with our quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with our quality requirements, including conducting audits, reviewing quality data, and implementing corrective actions.
- Lieferant Development: Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality management systems, processes, and performance.
- Regular Supplier Visits: Conduct regular visits to suppliers to ensure they are meeting our quality standards.
- Quality Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve quality problems at supplier facilities, including investigating failed components and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure our quality requirements are met and suppliers are integrated into our quality management system.
- Reporting and Lesson Learned: Create supplier reports and evaluations, and maintain a database of lessons learned and read across.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical and electronic components, including IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001.
- ESD Training: ESD training and certification.
- Experience in Supplier Management and Quality Management: At least 2 years of experience in supplier management and/or quality management.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Knowledge of APQP, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and VDA 2 is an asset.
- Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA): Knowledge of FMEA is an asset.
- Zertifizierter Auditor VDA 6.3: Certification as a VDA 6.3 auditor.
- Technical Drawing and Specification Interpretation: Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems: Knowledge of quality management systems, including IATF 16949.
- Problem-Solving Methods: Knowledge of problem-solving methods, including 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, and Six Sigma.
- Language Skills: Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Flexibility and Mobility: Ability to travel up to 50% of the year.
