We are seeking a researcher to join our team at the Chair of Quantum Optics, where we have developed innovative methods to control trapped ions using high-frequency radiation. Our research focuses on developing a scalable quantum computer using trapped ions as qubits.

As a researcher, you will be responsible for planning, simulating, and constructing experimental apparatuses, preparing and carrying out experiments with trapped ions, and publishing scientific results. You will also guide other scientists in the team and collaborate with national and international research partners.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in physics, a doctorate in physics, and sound knowledge of quantum mechanics. You will also need to be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
