Wir suchen einen hervorragenden Physiker/in, der sich auf Experimentelle Quantenoptik spezialisiert hat, um am Lehrstuhl für Quantenoptik zu forschen und zu entwickeln. Das Ziel besteht darin, neuartige Methoden zu entwickeln, um gespeicherte Ionen mit Hochfrequenzstrahlung zu steuern und als elementare Schalteinheit (Qubit) in einem Quantencomputer einzusetzen.

Ihre Aufgaben:
  • Im Zentrum Ihrer Forschungstätigkeit stehen neuartige Ansätze und Methoden für Quantencomputer mit gespeicherten Ionen.
  • Verantwortliche Planung, Simulation und Aufbau von innovativen experimentellen Apparaturen.
  • Durchführung und Auswertung von Experimenten mit gespeicherten Ionen und die Veröffentlichung der wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse.
  • Anleitung anderer Wissenschaftler/innen im Team.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit nationalen und internationalen Forschungspartnern und Drittmittelgebern.
Ihr Profil:
  • Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium in Physik.
  • Promotion im Fach Physik.
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse der Quantenmechanik.
  • Erfahrungen auf einem oder mehreren der folgenden Gebiete sind erwünscht: Experimentelle Quantenoptik mit Atomen, Molekülen oder festkörperbasierten Systemen, Quanten-Informationsverarbeitung, Laserspektroskopie und -kühlung, Mikrowellentechnik, Lasertechnik, Optik, Vakuumtechnik, Steuer- und Regelungselektronik und Computersteuerung von Experimenten.
