About the Role
METRO Markets GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our tax strategies and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive tax advice on VAT considerations for our e-commerce operations.
- Collaborate with METRO AG's tax department and affiliated METRO companies' tax units to ensure seamless coordination and adherence to best practices.
- Work autonomously to align tax strategies with our operational objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive tax strategies and projects towards successful outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in a tax department with a focus on VAT.
- Strong expertise in national and international VAT governance.
- Strong expertise in international tax law.
- Ability to communicate complex matters to various internal and external audiences.
- Completed degree in economics or law with a focus on taxation.
