Tax Manager Indirect Taxes

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager Indirect Taxes to join our team at tonies - Boxine GmbH. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on indirect taxes, import VAT, and other tax matters related to international trade.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax advice and guidance to our group and internal teams on indirect taxes, import VAT, and other tax matters.
- Conduct local tax risk assessments for VAT, sales taxes, and other taxes, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement project and process standards, standard templates, and tax technical terms to ensure consistency across all tax-relevant projects.
- Monitor global tax developments and regulatory initiatives, and ensure that our group complies with ever-changing tax regulations.
- Coordinate the filing and review of tax returns, interim filings, and ensure accurate and timely submission.
- Support the optimization, automation, and digitization of tax processes, and improve the Tax Compliance Management System.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to drive project completion, and independently manage projects end-to-end.
- Review and challenge advice received from local external tax advisors, and share the outcome with stakeholders.
- Partner with local finance and operations teams to ensure VAT compliance across the entire value chain.
- Report to the Global Tax Lead and other internal stakeholders to integrate tax considerations into overall business strategies.
- Completed business studies with a focus on tax or a decree with a focus on taxes.
- 3-4 years of practical professional experience in the tax department of an international company, financial administration, or an internationally oriented tax consulting company.
- Quick grasp, analytical skills, and a structured and result-oriented way of working.
- Process-driven and IT-savvy, with excellent self-organisation, high commitment, and a healthy approach to change and challenges.
- Confident in dealing with MS Office programs and Google applications, with skills in working with Microsoft Navision a plus.
- Very good written and spoken English and German skills, with other language skills an advantage.
