International Tax Manager

**About Signode**
Signode is a leading global manufacturer of a wide range of packaging solutions. Our European Tax Department plays a crucial role in ensuring our business complies with tax regulations while optimizing tax strategies to support the company's growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure compliance for current and deferred taxes and review international tax reporting.
- Manage and assist in tax return preparation, filing, and validation of tax assessments, audits, and appeals.
- Oversee local tax advisors, handle tax filings (e.g. withholding tax exemptions, Muri, DAC 6 etc.), and manage tax payments.
- Provide tax accounting training and serve as an in-house advisor for subsidiaries.
- Manage and document transfer pricing reports, support audits, and oversee related projects.
- Execute and implement tax strategies, identify planning opportunities, and limit tax exposure.
- Develop best practices, collaborate with business teams, and engage with business leaders.
- Proactive problem-solving, adapt to changing priorities, and support tax audits in Europe.
**Requirements:**
- Education in Business, Tax, or Finance (specific tax qualifications a plus).
- Strong experience in tax accounting and compliance, ideally internationally.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems like DATEV, AX and Tax filing systems.
- Proficient in English and German, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Independent, efficient, flexible, proactive attitude, and willingness to travel as needed.
