Director of Engineering Audio Systems

Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering Audio Systems to lead our Audio engineering departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities, including responsibility for electroacoustic technology and audio electronics across the entire BU portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new products and technologies to support the company's growth and innovation strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure that the company maintains its position as a leader in the audio systems market.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics, with a minimum of 10 years design experience, and 5 years management experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of acoustics and electroacoustic product design and professional audio systems development including hardware, firmware and software design.
  • Specific knowledge of professional audio speaker design and construction is preferred.
  • Proven track record of employing rapid product development techniques to optimize project implementation timelines within budget.
  • Knowledge and successful use of lean principles, manufacturing engineering, and engineering process control methods and techniques.
