As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to electroacoustic technology and audio electronics across our entire portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new products and technologies in the field of professional audio systems, including speakers, microphones, headsets, amplifiers, and signal processors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in the audio market.
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate new product development and improve market penetration.
- Provide leadership and work direction to a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Manage budgets and operating costs for the department, including forecasting and preparing budget requests.
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a staff of engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics, with a minimum of 10 years design experience and 5 years management experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Solid working knowledge of acoustics and electroacoustic product design, including hardware, firmware, and software design.
- Specific knowledge of professional audio speaker design and construction is preferred.
- Proven track record of employing rapid product development techniques to optimize project implementation timelines within budget.
- Knowledge and successful use of lean principles, manufacturing engineering, and engineering process control methods and techniques.
