Product Owner for OT/IT Data Integration

Siemens is a leader in industrial automation, and we're looking for a Product Owner to bridge the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). As a Product Owner for OT/IT Data Integration, you'll be responsible for promoting smooth data integration across platforms to drive the future of industrial operations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will make our customer dreams become reality and ensure the flow within the development team to deliver customer value fast and focused.
  • You will define user stories and create a product backlog, prioritizing customer requirements.
  • You will hold ownership of defining and prioritizing user requirements and communicate closely with your development team regarding product features to be implemented.
  • You will maximize the value addition of the products that are developed by the agile Scrum team.
  • You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders such as customers, business leaders, development teams, and project managers.
  • You will frontload the work for the development teams, enabling them to deliver fast and value-oriented.

What You Need to Make Real What Matters

  • You have a master's degree or PhD in computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • You have more than 5 years of profound technical domain expertise working as a Product Owner or Manager.
  • You have proven leadership in software development across IT and OT sectors.
  • You have experience working directly with a wide range of customers to develop scalable solutions.
  • You have deep knowledge of industrial plants, especially in data integration (shopfloor to topfloor).
  • You are familiar with tools like Confluence, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Cognite, PDC Kepware, or similar.
  • You have an agile mindset, thriving in dynamic environments with expertise in Scrum and other methodologies.
  • You are committed to ensuring sustainable software quality and hands-on in feature validation.
  • You are a reliable team player, fostering mutual trust and collaboration.
  • You are fluent in English, with German language skills being an added advantage.
