Senior Manager, EU Product Safety and Compliance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our EU Product Safety and Compliance team. As a key member of our Trustworthy Shopping Experience team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Amazon products sold in the EU are safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for product safety and compliance in the EU.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk Operations, and Software Development, to design and implement policies and processes that protect our customers.
  • Lead a team of product experts, risk managers, and program managers to identify and mitigate emerging product risks and trends.
  • Evaluate and implement new product regulations in the UK and Europe.
  • Measure and improve the effectiveness of our product controls and safety processes.
  • Engage with regulatory partners and industry associations to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
About the Team

At Amazon, we believe that customer trust is paramount. Our Trustworthy Shopping Experience team is dedicated to ensuring that all Amazon products are safe, authentic, and compliant for customers. We work closely with selling partners, customers, brands, and regulators across the Amazon stores in the UK and EU to identify, mitigate, and prevent product risk.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Extended professional experience in program, product, or operations management.
  • Professional experience managing teams.
  • Business proficiency in English and one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, or German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to present complex information in concise written and spoken English.
  • Track record of building productive and happy teams.
  • Experience working in e-commerce, product safety, or risk management.
  • Experience with high-scale technology programs.
  • Master's degree.
