Senior Risk Manager EU Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team at Amazon Deutschland Services GmbH. As a key member of our Trustworthy Shopping Experience team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and other regulatory requirements.
About the RoleIn this exciting position, you will work closely with our Senior Compliance Officer to develop and implement operational compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures. You will drive the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key operational risk indicators, areas of improvement, and recommend appropriate action.
You will partner with numerous Amazon teams, including Legal, Public Policy, and more than 15 business, product, and policy teams. To succeed in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of EU regulatory frameworks and a proven track record in creating and implementing operational frameworks, and managing metrics to monitor compliance against requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement operational compliance oversight frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to the DSA and potentially other EU product-related compliance regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws to ensure compliance with current requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and/or non-conformity issues and establish mitigation strategies.
- Support with external audits, reporting, and data access requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing any findings or recommendations.
- Support the Senior Compliance Officer with the external engagement of regulatory partners.
- Act as a key point of contact to support the business in operating within compliance.

Basic Qualifications- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
- Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
- Master's degree or equivalent.
