Job Purpose
In this position, you will be responsible for customer accounts within several product lines. You will provide support to the Key Account and/or Sales Manager regarding the acquisition of projects with customers and work actively at the development and maintenance of customer relations. The focus of your job is the achievement of our internal goals and the increase of customer satisfaction.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of customer relations
- Development of proactive plans, follow-up, and recording the progress of new business opportunities (NBO) with regard to sales objectives
- Support of the strategic and commercial evaluation of new projects
- Preparation of offers
- Price negotiations with customers
- Negotiation of project and customer-specific contractual terms
- Participation in forecast and long-term planning
- Support of Key Account Manager/Sales Manager with strategic direction of global customer accounts
- Support the tracking of project and cost planning
- Global coordination of possible customer problems
- Review of contracts in collaboration with the legal department with regard to compliance with BorgWarner guidelines
- Monitoring of market dynamics, including developments of customer and competitive developments and forwarding the relevant information to appropriate sales management to merge data in our market analysis
Your Profile
- Engineer (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or business administration with strong technical understanding (at least Bachelor degree)
- 3-5 years of experience in the automobile industry
- Very good communication skills
- Positive presence and assertiveness, strong negotiation skills
- Result-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking
- Experience with complex products and products in need of explanation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- German and English fluent in spoken and written
- Willingness to travel (approx. 25%)
