Join Our Team as a Migration and Implementation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Migration and Implementation Lead to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our client delivery team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing migration and implementation projects for our European clients.

About the Role

The Migration and Implementation Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the successful transition of our clients to our Kraken platform. You will work closely with our product managers and developers to understand client requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Your expertise will be essential in driving cultural change and ensuring that our clients' operations teams are equipped to work effectively with our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead migration projects, including planning, resource allocation, and time management.
  • Work with various stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and end-users, to clarify requirements and expectations.
  • Prepare training and coaching for employees and provide support during the transition phase to ensure a smooth transition to the new systems.
  • Understand and document incoming customer requests and route them to the right people in the development team according to priority.
  • Scrutinize customer requirements and the technical development approach.
  • Explain the concept for technical development and information security to and for the customer.
  • Initiate new projects and set up new project routines.
  • Requirements management and formulation of customer needs as well as planning and communication to achieve the desired functional requirements on the customer platform.
  • Lead the development teams in delivering product features that meet client business requirements and project deadlines.
  • Develop and support the client delivery leads within the organization.
  • Have a deep understanding of the Kraken infrastructure and align client direction with the overall goal of the Kraken platform.
Requirements
  • Fluent English and German is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in client delivery and/or product ownership.
  • Agile delivery experience.
  • Experience of product management and customer journeys.
  • Solid understanding of technology and associated trends.
  • Excellent communications, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to challenge traditional ways of thinking.
  • Experience of working with significant complex delivery pipelines for clients.
  • Patience and initiative.
  • Time management and a get-stuff-done attitude.
  • Consulting experience is a plus.
