About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior International HR Business Partner to join our team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy and goals
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including leadership teams, management, and external consultants, to develop and deliver customized HR solutions
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that attracts and retains top talent
  • Support the employee performance management process, including talent and succession planning, to ensure the development of a high-performing workforce
  • Identify training and development needs and design and implement initiatives to address these needs
  • Partner with the HR VP to implement HR strategies, policies, and processes, and develop solutions to drive business results
  • Enable employees to reach business goals and objectives through coaching, counseling, training, and career development initiatives
  • Lead change management projects and initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and drive business growth
  • Ensure data accuracy in the HRIS and collaborate with the HR Officer to ensure seamless integration with country-specific payroll vendors and other internal or external providers
  • Finalize post-merger integration through harmonization of HR processes and policies, and promote and foster a new company culture, core values, and leadership principles
  • Design and implement a new onboarding program aligned with company culture, core values, and strategic goals to facilitate integration of employees into their new roles
  • Develop and implement initiatives that drive a diverse and inclusive workplace

About You

  • Education: University degree in business administration (or related field) with a focus on Human Resources Management
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of proven experience in an HRBP or similar role in an international environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organization
  • Interact and communicate efficiently with stakeholders across the organization
  • Keeping up to date with legal requirements within your scope
  • Proven project management experience, with the ability to influence senior management teams on key initiatives
  • Change management skills
  • Demonstrated proven competences in compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and human resources practices and related laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Empathy and cultural understanding
  • Excellent ability to communicate in both oral and written, German and English (Dutch and/or French is a plus)
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office and Success Factors required)
  • Willingness to travel within countries up to 20%
