Fitch Ratings is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our Covered Bonds team in Frankfurt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining existing ratings and assigning ratings to new covered bonds programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare rating decisions and present analysis at internal rating committees
- Apply Fitch's rating criteria in a consistent manner while treating cases on their merits
- Produce fluent, concise commentaries and reports publishing our rating actions and credit rationale
- Conduct qualitative assessments of operational risks based on calls or on-site reviews at issuing financial institutions
- Monitor a portfolio of rated covered bonds programmes, including new issuance for existing programmes
- Review relevant laws and regulations as well as legal documentation
- Demonstrate professionalism in communication with issuers of rated programmes
- Adhere to Fitch policies and procedures
- Prior professional experience in the banking, finance or audit industry, ideally in credit analysis
- Numeracy and computer proficiency, including use of Excel and application of modelling skills
- Fluency in German and ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in simple written business English
- Master's degree or equivalent with a specialty in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Maths or Statistical Sciences
