Transversal Carve-out Project Leader

Position Overview
As a key player in the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions landscape, the Carve-out Management Office (COMO) is focused on overseeing operational project management and governance methodologies for carve-out initiatives. We are seeking a leader for the transversal carve-out workstream, responsible for navigating the complexities of these multifaceted projects that span various functions and geographies within a dynamic M&A environment.

Responsibilities as Carve-out Workstream Lead

  • Oversee the most intricate transversal workstream in significant strategic carve-out projects, involving multiple sites, countries, and functions.
  • Ensure accountability for the delivery of carve-out concepts across all project workstreams, domain functions, and regions, including IT, cost adjustments, and standalone operational costs.
  • Guarantee the consistency and thoroughness of project plans and activities, providing guidance to project managers on carve-out-related challenges.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to define the carve-out scope and design a new operational model, particularly for small to medium enterprises.
  • Manage interdependencies and risks associated with carve-out projects.
  • Direct project office resources and external consultants to generate necessary data and documentation, ensuring alignment with the overall target operating model.
  • Lead readiness assessments for carve-out initiatives prior to critical project decisions.
  • Implement best practices and guidelines set forth by the carve-out governance body, ensuring adherence to key project management methodologies.
  • Integrate the COMO team effectively, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent with extensive expertise in relevant fields such as M&A, corporate law, finance, and IPO processes.
  • Proven experience in managing international carve-out projects or concept workstreams within large organizations or as a consultant.
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of business processes.
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage with consultants and senior management effectively.
  • Experience in intercultural leadership, capable of uniting diverse project teams.
  • High-level program and project management skills in complex global environments; certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in multiple languages, with full business proficiency in English required.
  • Technologically adept, enthusiastic about digital transformation, and possessing a proactive, adaptable mindset.
  • A collaborative team player, demonstrating curiosity and a desire for personal and professional growth.
