We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Manager for Global Facilities to join our team at Utimaco. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Manage the technical and administrative aspects of building operations, including building technology, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Plan, oversee, and administer facilities and grounds across various locations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Take charge of rental and operating revenues, encompassing energy, electricity, water, and wastewater supply, to optimize costs and minimize waste.
  • Organize and supervise telecommunications and IT services, providing reliable and secure infrastructure for our teams.
  • Oversee housekeeping, facility management, and cleaning services to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Plan, budget, and execute projects such as renovations, relocations, modernizations, and maintenance work to improve facilities and reduce downtime.
  • Provide support in selecting potential global locations, considering factors such as accessibility, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer facility infrastructure, handling building plans, furnishings, insurance, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Plan and lead Front Desk(s)/Reception personnel, ensuring effective staffing and operations to provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop maintenance plans and coordinate all maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Assume the role of safety officer, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations to protect our employees and assets.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and verify vendor proposals and quotes to select the best suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage and coordinate activities with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections of building complexes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.

About You

  • You hold a completed technical education or degree with a focus on Facility Management, demonstrating expertise in managing complex facilities and operations.
  • You have demonstrated experience in leading new construction projects and corporate relocations, including international exposure, showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse environments.
  • You have a proven track record in commercial facility management, optimizing property usage and reducing costs through effective planning and execution.
  • You possess a solid understanding of construction technology and business economics, enabling you to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
  • You have practical knowledge of building systems and a solution-oriented approach, ensuring that facilities are optimized for performance and sustainability.
  • You possess strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities in both German and English, allowing you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.
  • You are assertive, reliable, organized, and confident, with a willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • You are proficient in MS-Office, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
