Your Role

  • You will be part of the engineering team for our international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia, and North America.
  • You will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development, and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.
  • You will bring the traction hardware to life with your developed software and test it in the laboratory and on the locomotive itself.
  • You will pick up market requirements and trends and derive from them the technical further development of the traction control system.
  • You will work together as a team on solutions for current design, new customer requirements, improvements, and new functions.
  • You will stay focused on the reusability of your work results to foster our platform strategy.
  • You will put the results into practice to increase the efficiency and reliability of the vehicles.

Your Qualifications

  • You have a completed master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
  • You have longstanding experience in the field of control of electrical drives.
  • You have sound knowledge in structured and model-based software development.
  • You have knowledge in alternative drive technologies like battery and/or hydrogen.
  • You can understand and define complex systems and use a structured way of working, problem solving, and documentation.
  • You are willing to travel as required in the work environment.
