We are seeking a skilled Trader/Sales Manager Europe Ingredients m/f/d to join our team at Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consult.

About the Role
  • This is an office-based position in Hamburg, with the possibility of 2 home office days.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the food or additives sector, with a strong background in sales and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • National and European trade of customer-specific product portfolios in the feed and food additive sector.
  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships in the sales region.
  • Establishing and developing international supplier relationships.
  • Market analysis and competitor observation, leading to strategic planning.
  • Development of marketing strategies and product variations in collaboration with customers and manufacturers.
  • Budget and sales planning, as well as price setting.
Requirements
  • Completed training as a merchant in foreign trade, with further qualifications as a foreign trade specialist/BiA and/or studies.
  • Several years of experience as a trader, preferably in the food or additives sector.
  • Business fluent in German and English, with knowledge of Spanish a plus.
  • High sales affinity and strong communication skills, with a focus on sustainability and customer orientation.
  • Structured, efficient, and independent working style, with a team player mentality.
  • Confidence in using the MS Office package and merchandise management systems, with SAP knowledge a plus.
