We are seeking a skilled Global Trading Specialist to join our team at Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consult. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food and additives sector, with a strong understanding of international trade and logistics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- National and European trade of customer-specific product portfolios in the feed and food additive sector
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships in the sales region
- Developing and expanding international supplier relationships
- Conducting market analyses and competitor observations to inform strategic planning
- Creating marketing strategies and product variations in collaboration with customers and manufacturers
- Budgeting and sales planning, as well as pricing
The successful candidate will have:
- Completed training as a merchant in foreign trade, with further qualifications as a foreign trade specialist or BiA and/or studies
- Several years of experience as a trader, preferably in the food or additives sector
- Business fluency in German and English, with knowledge of Spanish a plus
- High sales affinity and strong communication skills, with a focus on sustainability and customer orientation
- A structured, efficient, and independent working style
- Team player mentality, social competence, high flexibility, and self-motivation
- Confidence in using the MS Office package and merchandise management systems, with SAP knowledge a plus
We offer a competitive fixed salary plus uncapped commission, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
