**Our Sourcing Strategy**
We are the only true cross-border procurement organization in the building materials industry in Europe, and we take pride in delivering the right products at the right price to our customers. Our sourcing strategy is focused on maximizing the performance and profitability of our categories, including Timber and Panels.
**Job Content**
- You will have a deep understanding of the market, product category, and price dynamics within the categories and what it takes to become the winning distributor in the Timber & Panels category.
- You will stay current on industry developments, trends, and internal business analyses to make strategic decisions and shape the categories.
- You will develop, implement, and continue to evolve a group category strategy for the categories, including developing a European Sourcing Strategy for Timber & Panels, in collaboration with business units aligned with Sourcing Advisory Board decisions.
- You will collaborate with Business Units to design an attractive Group offering in the category, that can be presented to customers and suppliers.
- You will drive and manage agreed-upon European activities with European suppliers, ensuring successful execution.
- You will establish a structured meeting framework with key suppliers/partners, to foster strong relationships, effective communication, and common development of the categories.
- You will define and agree upon campaigns and marketing activities in coordination with Category teams in the business units.
- You will act as a point of contact for suppliers joining the European Supplier Program, on development of products and cooperation across business units.
- You will align, coordinate, and lead the decision-making processes for European assortment activities in close collaboration with Category teams in the business units.
- You will undertake and oversee digitalisation projects in cooperation with European supplier/partners, leveraging technological advancements for operational excellence and growth.
- You will facilitate sharing of best practice to drive performance and compliance.

- Your manager is located in Norway, but re-location is not necessary for this position.
- However, some travelling must be expected since you will have a lot of interactions with local business unit teams.
**Who We Are Looking For**
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills.
- You have the capability and interest to work on 'everything'; from strategy and strategic direction to details on product level.
- You have strong relationship management and networking skills, as well as excellent communication skills.
- You have prior experience in category management, industry experience is considered a plus but not a must.
- You have a strong strategic mindset.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to assimilate information.
- Resilient and able to constructively challenge and influence at a senior level.
- Knowledge of and/or interest in sustainability.
- You have drive and curiosity, are proactive, innovative and an initiator – these are words that describe you.
- You thrive in collaborating with others.
- Comfortable in working in English (corporate language).
