Senior PostgreSQL and Redshift Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive client projects forward
  • Contribute to software architectural decisions, ensuring scalability and efficiency
  • Lead the management of PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift databases, ensuring optimal performance
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
  • Deep understanding of database concepts, including data modeling and normalization
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift on EC2 and RDS platforms, with experience in database design and optimization
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and CloudWatch, ensuring seamless database operations
  • Knowledge of SQL and noSQL databases, with the ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Experience with message broker technologies, ensuring efficient data exchange
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with database tools and technologies, including data warehousing and business intelligence
  • Python programming skills, with experience in data analysis and machine learning
  • Experience in software security and network security, ensuring the integrity of database systems
  • Technical leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Data science experience, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting
