Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team at FlexIT Consulting GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and integration of new database systems into our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Database Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of database systems in a hybrid data center environment.
- Database Administration: Manage Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Backup and Recovery Strategies: Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies, including regular backups and checks.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries.
- Patch Management: Manage and implement patches for SQL Server.
- Error Diagnosis: Diagnose and resolve database errors, performance issues, and security breaches.
- Education: Completed education with an IT focus or a completed degree in information technology, accompanied by relevant work experience.
- Database Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Server Replication, Microsoft Failover Cluster, Always-On), Oracle, and MySQL, as well as knowledge of storage, backup, and network architectures.
- SQL Skills: Excellent knowledge of the SQL query language, accompanied by experience with performance diagnosis and tuning tools.
- Data Security: Good knowledge of data security solutions.
- Personal Qualities: You are a team player with strong communication skills.
