About the Role

Hannoversche Informationstechnologien (hannIT) is a leading IT service provider in the region of Hannover, seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Hardware Support Specialist. As a key member of our Onsite Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure client hardware, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility
  • Set up VPN clients remotely, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity
  • Support clients during office relocations, ensuring minimal disruption to their IT operations
  • Roll out client hardware and peripherals, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Cable workstations according to UVV regulations, ensuring compliance and safety
  • Resolve support cases, providing first- and second-level technical assistance
  • Document tasks and projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Collaborate with colleagues on projects, ensuring effective teamwork and communication

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training (two- or three-year program), such as IT system integration, IT system management, or similar qualifications
  • Strong technical understanding of IT hardware, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Previous experience in first- and second-level support, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, both in German and English
  • Strong service and team orientation, with a customer-centric approach
