About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Business Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our strategy team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of our long-term global organic and M&A growth strategy in our Investment Management Solutions area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Deutsche Börse's long-term global organic and M&A growth strategy in Deutsche Börse's Investment Management Solutions area
  • Support the implementation and coordination of projects with strategic relevance, including project sourcing, development, and planning
  • Prepare strategic market analyses, decision proposals, status reports for senior management and for respective management meetings
  • Monitor and proactively improve strategy development and implementation processes
  • Support key strategic projects

Requirements

  • University degree with excellent results
  • 2-5 years of working experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, finance, or M&A
  • Theoretical and first practical knowledge regarding the relevance and functioning of capital markets as well as an understanding of business principles and processes
  • Focus on delivery with results-oriented and structured approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure with high degree of reliability and autonomy
  • High commitment and motivation
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods, e.g. including financial modeling/business plan analysis
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal, ability to communicate effectively across all seniority levels in English
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
