We are seeking a customer-centric Sales Manager to join our team in Munich, Germany, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing various product categories and implementing business development strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies and conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Analyzing sales data and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making and provide market-leading strategies for new product development in both fresh and value-added categories.
- Providing accurate weekly sales forecasts to support business planning.
- Generating detailed account information for long-term forecasting and programming.
- Delivering comprehensive reports on sales, volumes, margins, and prices as needed.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Working closely with supply chain, finance, and other internal departments to ensure product availability, pricing accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Developing a deep understanding of the market sector, including consumer trends, competitor activity, and product lines.
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate leads and build brand awareness.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience working within a similar role in either FMCG or perishable goods.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Fluent German speaker and fluent in English, with any additional European languages beneficial.
- Prior experience of negotiating and closing contracts with national retailers.
Desirable:
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skilled negotiator with commercial and financial acumen.
- Demonstrable initiative-taking and innovative problem-solving abilities.
