Senior Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data domain at Ratepay GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial reporting and analytics by democratizing access to reporting-ready data via self-service analytics.
In this role, you will work closely with the analytics engineering lead and data engineers to strengthen the financial reporting offering on our cloud-native tech stack. You will collaborate with finance domain experts, data engineers, and data analysts to scale the reporting suite by merging datasets from SAP BW and SAP ERP.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for owning KPI definition and cataloging for the finance space, ensuring data availability from source systems to enable rapid response to emerging anomalies, and collaborating with Data Engineering, Analytics, ML, and Finance leadership teams to scope OKR cycles.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, focusing on driving business impact. You will have experience in developing datasets crucial for finance operations with exposure to SAP and SAP BW, proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Python to replicate Microsoft Excel-based reporting logic, and experience in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
