Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a critical role in helping our clients generate business value from their existing data sets. As a Data Magician, you will manipulate data to bring out detailed information and quirky insights, collaborating with clients to find practical solutions to problems. As a senior, you will also serve as a coach for junior team members.
You will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems while helping startups and SMEs make informed decisions based on data. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with domain experts to solve data obstacles in various industries
- Developing advanced data reporting and visualizations
- Applying data modeling methodologies and contributing to a robust data platform for our clients
We use a variety of technologies, including state-of-the-art tools and a preferred data tech stack that includes:
- Data Loading: Apache Airflow, Prefect, Fivetran, or Airbyte Cloud
- Data Warehousing: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Data Transformation: dbt (data build tool)
- Data Visualization: Metabase, Superset, PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Holistics, or ThoughtSpot
We are looking for a candidate with experience in SQL and relational databases, as well as a strong understanding of data modeling techniques and data warehousing. Business fluency in German or English is also required. Optional experience with programming languages, such as Python, and managing stakeholder relationships in projects is a plus.
