Job Description
We are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join our Alignment Team within the AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating alignment plans, identifying measurement methods, and defining sequences of measurements for various satellite projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support satellite projects in creating alignment plans, including checking alignment requirements and converting them into alignment plans
- Create procedures for alignment and carry out measurements with theodolites, laser trackers, and SpatialAnalyzer
- Evaluate measurement results and summarize them in test reports
- Train personnel on recurring measurement tasks and develop standards for alignment measurements
Requirements
- Completed engineering studies in surveying, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Focus on optical measurements with several years of professional experience
- Familiarity with the use of theodolites and laser trackers
- Good knowledge of SpatialAnalyzer as a tool for measurement execution and analysis
- High level of communication and teamwork skills
- High motivation and ability to work independently
- Good conceptual and analytical skills
- High flexibility
- Willingness to travel and work shifts occasionally
- Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage
