Job Title: Metrology Engineer for Space Applications

OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team in Bremen. As a key member of our Alignment Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise alignment of various instruments during satellite integration phases.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement alignment plans for satellite projects, including checking alignment requirements and defining measurement methods.
  • Create procedures for alignment measurements and train personnel on recurring tasks.
  • Evaluate measurement results and summarize them in test reports.
  • Develop standards for alignment measurements and contribute to the improvement of our measurement processes.
Requirements:
  • Completed engineering studies in surveying, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Focus on optical measurements with several years of professional experience.
  • Familiarity with the use of theodolites and laser trackers.
  • Good knowledge of SpatialAnalyzer as a tool for measurement execution and analysis.
  • High level of communication and teamwork skills.
  • High motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills.
  • High flexibility.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
