For permanent employment at OHB System AG in Bremen, we are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join our team.
The Alignment Team within the AIT department is responsible for all alignment tasks during satellite integration phases. This includes the precise alignment of various instruments such as star trackers, propulsion thrusters, and other components.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support satellite projects in creating alignment plans, including checking alignment requirements and converting them into alignment plans.
- Identify measurement methods to be used and define a suitable sequence of measurements.
- Create procedures for alignment and carry out measurements with theodolites, laser trackers, and SpatialAnalyzer.
- Evaluate measurement results and summarize them in test reports.
- Train personnel on recurring measurement tasks and develop standards for alignment measurements.
Your Qualifications
- Completed engineering studies in surveying, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Focus on optical measurements with several years of professional experience.
- Familiar with the use of theodolites and laser trackers.
- Good knowledge of SpatialAnalyzer as a tool for measurement execution and analysis.
- Ideal experience with alignment in space and necessary documentation.
- High level of communication and teamwork skills.
- High motivation and ability to work independently.
- Good conceptual and analytical skills.
- High flexibility.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Willingness to travel and work shifts occasionally.
- Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
