Job Description

The Alignment Team within the AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) department is responsible for all alignment tasks during the satellite integration phases. This includes the precise alignment of various instruments such as star trackers, propulsion thrusters, and other components.

Your Tasks

  • Support for various satellite projects in the creation of alignment plans, including checking alignment requirements and converting them into an alignment plan, identifying measurement methods, and defining a suitable sequence of measurements.
  • Creation of the necessary procedures for alignment and carrying out measurements with theodolites, laser trackers, and SpatialAnalyzer.
  • Evaluation of measurement results and summarizing them in test reports.
  • Training of personnel for recurring measurement tasks and developing standards for alignment measurements.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed engineering studies in surveying, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Familiarity with optical measurements and experience with theodolites, laser trackers, and SpatialAnalyzer.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, high motivation, and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work under time pressure, travel, and occasional shift work.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
