Cloud Security Architect

About the Role
Covestro is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join our IT Security team. As a key member of our architecture team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing secure cloud solutions for our entire MS Cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with operational teams, IT security, cloud teams, cyber defense teams, and cloud decision committees to provide expert advice on security-related matters.
- Evaluate, plan, and design new Azure Cloud functions, ensuring the standardization of security solutions, including monitoring.
- Develop and prototype new security-relevant configurations.
- Conduct regular architecture reviews to ensure the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure.
- Transfer knowledge between the cloud platform and the IT security team, training experts in cloud security best practices.
Requirements
- Hold a successful university degree in (business) informatics, natural sciences, or a comparable education.
- Have several years of professional experience in IT consultancy or digital transformation topics, particularly in IT infrastructure and cloud services.
- Provide evidence of relevant certifications, such as Azure certifications.
- Exhibit excellent technical experience in designing MSFT Azure cloud architectures and a deep understanding of the MSFT Azure Well Architecture Framework, landing zone concepts, and tenant structures.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and conceptual skills to develop goal-oriented solutions.
- Display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Showcase intercultural experience and very good English skills.
