About the Role:

The Senior Manager Sales Finance will play a key role in driving excellence in reporting and analytics across all channels and horizontal teams at adidas. This hybrid role combines commercial finance and data analytics expertise to provide commercial financial insights and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate processes, procedures, tools, and ways of working by proactively identifying opportunities to leverage analytics and technologies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Develop tactical and strategic reporting and analytics for Leadership to support decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Drive maintenance and improvement of existing reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
  • Work with the Data and Analytics team to continuously improve data quality and availability to support business needs.
  • Act as a change agent and accelerator for innovative tools, technologies, and methods within the sales finance community to drive business transformation.
  • Provide training and upskilling to the sales finance community on statistics, analytics, and visualization tools to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Provide expertise, ad-hoc support, and guidance to the sales finance community on statistics, analytics, and visualization tools to ensure data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Strong will to innovate and execute, with problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven creativity and curiosity to identify and solve a wide range of business challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including forecasting, month close, and reporting procedures.
  • Good project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven team player who can collaborate across functions and organizations.
  • In-depth understanding of market business models and experience across relevant data domains is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a data-driven related field.
  • 5-10 years of operational finance experience within a fashion or brand-driven environment or 5+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical role.
  • Hands-on experience with statistics or analytics tools, including frontend and database technologies, SQL, Power BI, R/Python, Alteryx, or similar.
  • Advanced experience with reporting and visualization tools, such as Power BI.
