SAP is seeking a talented Development Architect to join our team in the area of Financials for the localization of our flagship product S/4HANA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading development and architecture decisions for the entire development lifecycle of applications in localization domains like tax, invoicing, payment, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering team in development and architecture decisions for localization domains
  • Ensure proper architecture roll-in/roll-out and execution in engineering team
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI, to address real-world business scenarios in localization domain
  • Coach and advise developers to develop technical and development skills
  • Support and advise product management regarding technical and architectural feasibility, implications, readiness, and compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, natural science, engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in all aspects of software development and maintenance with expert level development skills (ABAP OO, CDS views, OData, RAP, SAP UI5/HTML5)
  • Deep architectural knowledge and hands-on technical competence in S/4HANA, especially in S/4HANA Financials and related business applications
  • Good knowledge of business processes in S/4HANA Financials typically relevant for localization
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions
  • Very good communication skills in English, additional fluency in German preferred
  • Experience in Business AI, or expert level knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus
