About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Architect to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and architecture of our flagship product S/4HANA in the area of Financials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team in terms of development and architecture decisions, ensuring the proper architecture roll-in/roll-out and execution.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI.
  • Coach and advise developers to develop technical and development skills.
  • Collaborate with product management to ensure technical and architectural feasibility, implications, readiness, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, natural science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and maintenance with expert-level development skills.
  • Deep architectural knowledge and hands-on technical competence in S/4HANA, especially in S/4HANA Financials and related business applications.
  • Good knowledge of business processes in S/4HANA Financials typically relevant for localization.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Very good communication skills in English, additional fluency in German preferred.
