Research Scientist in Cell Mechanics

The Third Institute of Physics at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen invites applications for a Research Scientist in Cell Mechanics position. The successful candidate will contribute to our research group focusing on the viscoelastic properties of cells and their role in various biological processes.
This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art techniques, including micropipette aspiration systems and atomic force microscopy, to study the behavior of cells under controlled stretching conditions.
The job holder will be responsible for integrating these systems into an AFM that is coupled to a spinning disk fluorescence microscope, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the cell's response to external cues.
