About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Biomass International team at Uniper as a Biomass Sourcing and Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for originating and developing domestic biomass sourcing and trading opportunities for our customers and projects in the UK.



Key Responsibilities

Originate and Develop Domestic Biomass Sourcing and Trading Opportunities



  • Develop and execute UK domestic sourcing and trading partnerships
  • Build and maintain a strong domestic network of biomass suppliers, consumers, logistics partners, and service providers
  • Provide strategic, analytical, and commercial support to our wide biomass projects
  • Manage UK-specific sustainability requirements and developments in close cooperation with relevant departments across Uniper
  • Formulate and execute a detailed annual biomass business development plan for the UK as part of our overall Uniper biomass strategy


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong track record in UK biomass feedstock sourcing and trading, outstanding commercial negotiation and relationship management skills, sound financial and commercial awareness, and the ability to engage with teams. You will also need experience in structured physical and financial commodity transactions, including involvement in standard and non-standard contract terms, counterparty credit requirements, performance assurance, default provisions, delivery provisions, etc.
